Welcome to my personal blog site, around these parts I write about gaming and the other things I do – sometimes I post about videos I’ve made, or do a little bit of creative writing (but it probably doesn’t scale very high on any ratings!).

Where do I start? I do love learning new things, especially when they’re related to computers or the industry in general; but the stuff I have a bit of interest in doesn’t stop there, I studied philosophy for my A levels – and since a young age I’ve always been exposed to medical or biology-like words and snippets… so you can perhaps get me curious on that front.

If there is one area of immense interest for me, that’d be the world wide web – it provides a platform for oh so much, sharing knowledge, beliefs and commencing and partaking in discussions. So perhaps you could say I’m a bit of a bookworm, or an e-bookworm these days.

Away from my fascination with obscure knowledge (which probably won’t win any pub quizzes), I spend my time gaming – which is what I often write most about online. I don’t play solo though, I know many a strange folk from across the globe and of varying ages and professions who I slaughter the forces of evil with regularly.

The Current Me

At the present time I’m studying for my degree in computing (I already have a HND), while attempting some web design on the side. While my computing degree and diploma aren’t very specific on their subjects (they have a very broad range), I’m interested in networking and servers, and system building (hardware) – with a couple of system builds/upgrades and maintenance under my belt.

On the scripting side, I currently have a decent knowledge of the following:

• HTML and CSS
• PHP (Pre-Hypertext Processing language)
• JavaScript* and jQuery

* I should probably brush up on this language, alas time is often an issue with my studies and the other language and markup.
